Origins of Guadalupe Torres

Born in Madrid in 1983, Guadalupe Torres is an up-and-coming flamenco talent. She has learned flamenco from a very early age and is qualified in Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Royal Professional Dance Conservatory in Madrid, specialising in flamenco having studied with important flamenco maestros.

In 2002 she moved to Seville where she began her professional flamenco dancing career with the Andaluz Dance Company, directed by Jose Antonio. Guadalupe performed in important theatres and festivals, travelling all over the world with this flamenco dance company. Afterwards, she joined other important dance companies, such as those of María Pagés, Marco Flores and Manuel Liñan and performed with great maestros such as Antonio Gades or Carlos Saura.
